Does eating healthy top your resolutions for 2017? Sticking to it just got easier! You will not give up by mid-January after reading this post!
Lokal, a small shop by the Johanniterbrücke, offers a great selection of local and bio products.
You will find there fresh products (cheese, yogurt, milk, eggs, vegetables, meat …), dry goods (cereals, muesli, pasta …), beverages (beer, wine, syrup, tea…), preserves (jams, oil, vinegar, mustard, Sugo, Mus, chutneys, pesto…), ice-cream (several varieties, including vegan and gluten-free…). Product assortment changes often, depending on the seasons and what gets delivered to the shop.

On top of eating healthy, you will be supporting local production and contributing to your community. Lokal’s owner, Esther, explores Basel and its surroundings to meet with farmers and local producers. She has selected more than 40 of them that work sustainably and demand fair prices for it.
Buy fresh, buy local and keep you in touch with the seasons! From now on you will be able to appreciate where your dinner comes from!

Hi there! I hope you’ll enjoy your weekend here! The weather should be very nice – sunny and warm! Perfect to walk around town!
I definitely recommend going for dinner to the Roter Bären. Make sure to call to book a table, as it is a quite popular restaurant right now! And for brunch, try Smuk – there is a courtyard in the back, great to enjoy the first days of Spring!
Have fun! 🙂
